In former times, Obdach was the final stop for carters before they continued their trip crossing over the “Obdacher Sattel”. This created a special form of hospitality that is still maintained at the Groggerhof today. Our Styrian Country Inn offers an atmosphere where tradition and modern times join together, surrounded by the Biedermeier flair.

Due to the traditional and original construction of the hotel, all rooms have different sizes and are individually designed. The cosy pine paneled restaurant not only invite you to linger, also you can get to know the culinary offer of the hotel in a special way.

Obdach and the surrounding area offers you various leisure facilities in summer as well as in winter - from skiing, snowboarding and cross-country skiing to wonderful hikes (on a total of 330 km of hiking trails) to well-signposted mountain bike trails. On the way you will find numerous cosy mountain chalets.

The Red Bull Ring race track in Spielberg can be reached within 20 minutes by car.

Seminars


We do provide locations and rooms for seminars. Smaller meetings can take place in our hotel, for larger seminars we will be able to rent a meeting room at the Raiffeisen bank, right opposite our hotel.

These rooms are equipped with:
Flip Chart, Screen, Overhead, Video Beamer, Wifi etc.

Cost of the Raiffeisen bank seminar room:

€ 30,00 per day/ fully equipped

Prices by appointment, group rates are offered - contact us!

Garden sharing for Anti stress seminars, or other kind of purpose are possible.

The Groggerhof offers the perfect location for various events. Our experienced staff is pleased to help you to organize your wedding, birthday party, Christmas party, class reunion, business lunch, Baptism or any other kind of event.

Every year, on the 30th of December, our “Bauernsilvester” takes place. This is a special celebration/party one day before New years Eve, with a festive buffet and live music.
